Plan for the Perfect Costume
Halloween is all about unleashing your inner creativity. How can you dress to impress this Halloween? We really have seen it all at Bar Crawl LIVE! We have seen people decked out in the originals, like a Witch, a Cat, an Ax Murderer, Zombie, etc! You can’t go wrong with the originals as long as you put passion into the details, you know? We have seen people creatively dressed as puns, such as a guy wearing a baseball cap with a leaf attached to a string saying that he is a “Leaf Blower”. Hilarious, right? Or a girl wearing a little black dress with a sign taped to her saying that she is a “Formal Apology”. These are some of our favorites. Puns definitely are minimal effort and always good conversation starters at the bar. Then, we see people dressed up in the year’s trending hot topics. A few years back it was Dave Portnoy in a cheetah outfit eating Pizza, one bite - everyone knows the rules! Or dressed in a Tiger King costume during COVID. Weren’t those the days? And we are always bound to see the latest political joke...but anyway, the key is to start planning with your friends because group costumes are truly the most fun! They bring everyone together and make for great Halloween memories and pictures.
Make Sure Your Friends Get Tickets To The Halloween Bar Crawl
Maybe this should be the first thing! If you are reading this, you probably are the planner in your group. Do us a favor and make sure all of your friends have the right ticket. There are many other bar crawls hosted by other companies out there (not to toot our own horn or anything but if you do get a ticket for another bar crawl you are going to regret not going to our event) so make sure everyone has the correct ticket to the right event on the right day! You would hate to hold up the line during check-in because your friends don’t have the right ticket or your friends forgot to get tickets at all.
It’s All About The Halloween Bar Crawl Pregame
Have you ever walked into a packed bar with the lights dimmed everyone vibing and dancing and you’re completely sober? Well, that’s cool if that’s your choice but to me, I’d rather have had a few cocktails and be loose by the time I get to the crawl so I can really let loose and let my inner devil come out. So, it’s time to host the pregame! Whether you have everyone meet up all in costume or you host a little getting-ready party, make sure you get to celebrate the whole day with your friends. Also, speaking from experience, if you are getting ready together, make sure you don’t start drinking until your makeup is done or else you will end up really looking like the Wicked Witch of the West! And remember, the day is a marathon- not a sprint. So make sure you drink tons of water between drinks and eat a healthy breakfast so you aren’t that friend who has to get taken home before the night is over!
Halloween Bar Crawl Check-In Tips
The Halloween Bar Crawl Check-In and Registration can be intimidating. Especially if you are like most of us who get dozens of emails every day and can’t possibly keep up with all of them. So when you do see an email come through with the Halloween Bar Crawl Digital Bar List, make sure you heart it, flag it, save the link in your notes, text the group chat the link, anything you need to do to make sure you have that link to look at when you need to. It will not only be your guide throughout the crawl but also your key to registration. It will give you the timeframe and location of where you can pick up your wristbands. It will also tell you if there is an early registration, so make sure you check it the week of the crawl to see if you can pick up your wristband early to avoid the long lines at check-in for a fast pass and skip the line. It’s cool because we have developed that page to be secret to the rest of the world but only visible to ticket holders. That is why we put so much emphasis on “make sure you save this link”.
Arrive at Halloween Bar Crawl Registration Early
We really can’t say this enough. We will tell everyone to arrive early, and still, everyone shows up at the last minute or late. Well, we really can’t blame them because that’s how I am too. But one can try! But seriously, come early enough. Our event staff only stays at registration for the first few hours of the crawl and then they get to party with y’all. So, pretty please, pick up your dang wristbands early! Also, if you are able, have everyone send you their tickets or screenshots of their tickets that way you can pick up everyone's wristbands at once and give them to them if they are that friend who is always late to everything. We would hate for them to miss out!
Take Pictures and Videos at the Bar Crawl Halloween
We really recommend taking as many pictures and videos as possible. First, we have an online costume contest that you can enter that’s all about who makes the best content. You could do a getting ready with me video or just bloopers of you and your friends during the crawl, doesn’t matter. We want to see you dressed in your best and having a blast. There is a link to submit your pictures and videos on the digital bar list for the contest. Also, isn’t it so much fun the next morning getting to go through last night’s pics the morning after? Plus, you can always tag us on Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook and we will share the love by reposting you!
Join the Halloween Bar Crawl Costume Contest
For most locations, we host an in-person Halloween Bar Crawl Costume Contest where you get to show off you best Halloween Costumes and see if you win the crowd over! We give out great prizes for the winners and it is usually, really always, epic! So we highly encourage you to join in to see if you’ve got what it takes! To enter the Halloween Bar Crawl Contest, arrive at the location of the costume contest before it starts and head to the DJ booth to see if you can get in on it. Not everyone at the crawl can enter, so please be understanding if you don’t get to join. You always have the option of joining the online contest!

This should speak for itself 🙂When you are at the crawl, use your head. Don’t do anything you will regret the next morning. We ask that you use common sense and don’t overdo it on the drinks. We want you to have fun and come back next year. Please be patient and kind to the security, staff, and bartenders. Remember, they have to work on Halloween and you don’t. Tipping is cool, plus they might even give you a little extra next round if you’re lucky!
What to do at packed venues
If the venue is packed and you are getting pushed and shoved, head to the next venue on the digital bar list. If you aren’t able to get into the venue, just know that is because that is probably the most popular venue that everyone wants to go to and the venue is at capacity - meaning, they only allow a maximum number of people in the venue. Either be patient and know that when you get in, you will have a blast, or, head to the next venue on the list and know that you are the trendsetter and everyone will follow you there!
Try Out The Themed Drinks
We work hard to make sure we can get you the best prices on discounted drinks, shots, beers, and food. We negotiate with each venue to offer you their best specials too! Most venues will offer a discounted theme drink and shot. They are usually fun and usually delicious. Take at the digital bar list and try them out. Maybe it will be your new go-to drink next time you come back to that bar!
